Sia, the name that many of us know and love comes with an astonishing amount of complexity and raw talent. She has an originality about her that is hard not to notice. Sia is so clearly mysterious that she keeps people always wanting more. On Friday, Sep. 11th a tweet from her official account had a link attached to a Deadline story which discuses her newest documentary endeavor.

Based on a one-page story she wrote eight years ago, Sia said, “I was too embarrassed to tell anyone I wanted to make a movie, because I thought it would be seen as a vanity project, because I was a singer. … And then last year after I made the ‘Chandelier’ video, I realized that I was pretty good at directing, so I felt a little bit braver.”

The documentary — reportedly titled Untitled Sia Documentary Project — is being directed by the newly developed Los Angeles-based production company called Pictures. The company was formed by Sia’s husband Director Erik Anders Lang and producer Ryland Aldric. The announcement stated that the Untitled Sia Documentary Project is one the first projects the production company is releasing.

This doc is said to offer a never-before-seen look at the Grammy nominated performer’s life. Sia is co-directing this project with her husband Erik Anders Lang, who’s done documentary work for Serato, Louis Vuitton, Hollister, The Guggenheim, Honda, MTV, Pharrell, Public Enemy and TED.
